Denver Police Activities League

The football managers and coaches meeting for the 2008 football season is scheduled for Tuesday July 29, 2008 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Denver PPA Event Center located at 2105 Decatur St. All managers and at least one coach from each team are expected to attend. We would also suggest that you have your team mom attend the meeting if she will be handling your roster and registraion paperwork.

A new registration, roster and coaches information sheet procedures will be discussed in detail at the meeting. This procedure must be followed in order to register your team, no exceptions. There will not be a slide show presentation at the meeting however we will pass out copies of the slide show to all attendees.

We will also discuss any new rule changes or additions.

The roster and coaches information sheet that have been used in the past will no longer be used. A much easier procedure will be used that will eliminate the problems we have had in the past of certain computers not able to open these documents.

The first game is scheduled for Saturday September 6th. We had to start the season a week later than normal to accomodate the coaches and PAL staff that will be working the Democratic National Convention.

We have hopefully eliminated the need to have a picture and weigh-in day at Jackie Robinson with our new data base. This will be discussed at the meeting in detail.

NYSCA classes will be discussed and a sign up sheet will be available.
